Rialp

2021       Brand identity

Ediciones Rialp is a well estabilished Spanish publishing house, with its catalogue focusing mainly on poetry, religion and non-fiction. 150UP was tasked to overhaul Rialp’s old and cluttered visual identity to make it appealable to a new public. I set the design rules for a cohesive design system that is contemporary but also respectful of the publishing's house heritage. The rose – Rialp's main brand signifier – was redesigned as a compact mark; a friendly but assertive typography was paired with a vivid colour palette and a scalable layout system was conceived. The books' cover design system and typography were also revisited, ensuring coherence between the different book lines.
